We have a room becoming available in early August in a large, moderately tidy and friendly house in Maroubra, which is a few beaches South of Bondi, eight minutes from the airport (but not under the flight path) and close to the centre of the city of Sydney. The house WAS the old family home so it has a homely feel. Now the residents are 20-30 ish.
The house is extremely sunny and there is plenty of space for independence. The room is fully furnished with whatever furniture you need. The price is from $179 per week which includes all utilities, cable internet and telephone (for incoming calls). The room is very sunny.
All amenities are included – the house is fully furnished with two kitchens, four bathrooms, two lounge rooms and backyard for BBQ's (with a BBQ included). The house is minutes walk from the beach, public sporting complex with three heated indoor pools, a skate board bowl and all types of shops. It’s located within walking distance to UNSW and a bus goes right outside the door to Bondi Junction and Eastgardens if you need to go shopping! Also transport to the city which runs all night long is a block away. Seriously, it’s a great location!
The rent is very cheap for the location and amenities. There is a share-bike and surfing equipment for use. Furniture and linen are supplied but, if you prefer, you are welcome to bring yours along and we will remove the furniture and furnishings from the room! It's a smoke-free indoor environment and there is a resident and much loved cat.
Other residents are either employment-motivated or students. They all get on well together and are friendly - the vibe is really easy-going.
