Hey Folks, thanks for looking at my ad!
It's a fantastic house in a great location and I've made many friends over the years sharing with people from this site. Before you get too far along, please understand that I've come to know what sort of house mates I'm after so, please: no couples; no smokers; no full time students; no-one who isn't prepared to help put in an hour or two a week to clean; no indoor pets... and let's ballpark 35 as a maximum age. If that doesn't rule you out then read on!!
LOCALITY/TRANSPORT
A 5 minute walk to the river and a 3 minute walk to Canning Highway; which has very regular buses to Perth, Fremantle and the train station. By car Perth is 15 minutes away (longer during rush hour), Fremantle 10, and Garden City Shopping Centre is 5. Plenty of other shops and restaurants within walking distance too. Easy access to the river bike paths too. It's a good neighbourhood, plenty of parks, trees and about the lowest crime rate in Perth. A few of the cafes nearby seem to take on those on working holidays.
HOUSE
The home itself is a private and secure Brick and Tile 3 bedroom 1 bathroom rear unit which has just about been completely renovated. There's a large lounge with home theatre, sensational kitchen, fully equipped laundry and a nice dining area. The available rooms are opposite the large semi-ensuite bathroom (with access to the w/c from the bathroom and also the laundry) which has just had a spa bath put in during it's make-over. It's fully insulated and has reverse cycle ducted air-conditioning too..
There’s also a large entertaining area under the weatherproof pergola with a BBQ and outdoor furniture on one side of the house and not much except for a bit of exercise equipment on the other.
There is parking for a medium sized car just in front of the house, at the bottom of our driveway.
ROOM
The 5mx3m room is very light and bright. It is unfurnished but does have a double-door built in robe, remote control ceiling fan, white timber-look venetian blind and new carpet. Having brick walls it is also reasonably quiet. There is Wi-Fi internet access too.
ME
I'm a professional 32 y,o, guy with a pretty good sense of humour, who's out to work Monday to Friday. I rollerskate (don't laugh!), cycle, like working on projects such as cars, ride my motorbike and do my share of socialising, so I'm not home a lot of the time. I'm not a smoker and I'm clean and tidy. Most of us that have lived together have kept in touch, so I think I must be pretty alright to share with :)
ROOM MATE/S
I've had quite a few roomies over the last few years. I have to say that my preference is for people with an active social life, a sense of humour, who don't mind pitching in to keep the house looking clean for an hour or two per week with me and who are interested in catching up for a movie or something. I'm not after couples or smokers, indoor pets, or people older than about 35. Nothing against any of you that fall into that category, I just know what I get along best with through experience.
My last room mate has recently returned to the UK, so I have used this opportunity to renovate the bathroom. This should be completed late May, hence the 1st June availability date.
Other than that there's a 2 week bond and rent is paid a fortnight in advance. Let me know if you're interested!!
