*** MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH HOSTING COUCHSURFERS ON A REGULAR BASIS ***
For offer is a single room in a unit situated in Burnside. There is a bus stop directly across the road in front of a 24 hour service station that comes in real handy in the early hours of the morning!
During the day though, there is an IGA situated right across the road also that is open from 8am to 8pm and provides all my foodstuffs.
Down the road no more than 300 metres is the Feathers pub - which isn't the trendiest place to drink but does the job for friday night relaxing drinks. Across from this is a GoodLife gym and Fasta Pasta. There's also a Pizzeria and Fish & Chips shop nearby.
The place is equipped with ADSL2+ wireless internet with 100GB/month plan. I don't download too much so there should be plenty left over for you. This plan is $60/month so depending on how much you use I may get the tenant to pay a suitable amount (no more than 50%).
The unit has a small front yard and an even smaller backyard (enough for a BBQ, which will soon disappear.. and a clothesline). I have a fridge in the kitchen and another no less than 3 metres away in the lounge room for beer.
I don't own a washing machine which means laundry must be done at a laundromat and the nearest is about a 20 minute walk away so it gets annoying to do this often (especially in the summer). However, you are welcome to accompany me when I do my washing each Sunday if you don't have a car and want a lift.
There is a parking space in a carport reserved for the tennants of this place but I've never used it (I just park out the front on Glynburn Road). The next door neighbour owns something on the order of 4 cars and uses most of it but if you would like to park there then we can notify him. He is quiet and rarely home and has never seemed to fussed if we make a bit of noise through to the early hours of the morning (just so long as it's not every weekend).
This is turning out to be a huge description. Perhaps you can get in touch with me and ask me if you have anymore questions.
Just a quick summary of myself - I'm 23 years old and have been working as a Software Engineer for just over a year. It means I generally leave here around 8am and arrive back home 6pm each weekday. I like to have casual drinks as often as I can but never let it get out of hand. I'm respectful of other peoples needs and so I think I'm a pretty easy guy to get along with.
I accept Couchsurfers on a regular basis and would like to continue to do so.
However, I can see how people would be hesitant to go along with such participation. I would prefer to be able to continue accepting couchsurfers, albeit at a lesser rate than currently. I would hope the new tenant would be just as enthusiastic about meeting new people as I am but if they're not I'm willing to consider it as part of the application. Please let me know wheter or not you're keen on me continuing this excercise if you were to live here.
I will attempt to add photos soon but if you need them earlier please just contact and I will get back to you with them.
Cheers!
Chris
