We have a wooden panelled sun room available now for $185 a week. This room is now filled, but we have one last room with polished wooden floor boards and lots of wardrobe space available now for $200 a week.
Prices are inclusive of utilities (water, gas, electricity, wireless internet ADSL2+). Our room is fully furnished with the basics (bed, cupboards, clothes racks, drawers, shelves, table, chair etc). We also have storage if you would like to bring your own furniture.
It’s a peaceful, leafy environment to live in, as the Lane Cove National Park is around the corner (for nature lovers and keen joggers), and most of the neighbourhood is tree-lined and serene. It’s a nice neighbourhood and I'm sure you'll love it!
Our place would be ideal for people who either drive to work or don't mind a 15-20 minute walk to Chatswood CBD/ train station. A drive in to the city would take around 15-20 minutes without traffic, and the train ride is approximately 25 minutes with trains every 5 mins during peak hour. There is ample street parking.
Buses to the macquarie park-north ryde area are around 20 minutes, with the bus stop being a 10 minute walk away. A French CSIRO Intern who stayed with us during winter said it is a 5 mins commute by bus on mornings!
And for the more health conscious people, there is a route to cycle to the city, which will take you around 30 minutes with a nice ride and the exercise! Cycling to Macquarie uni/Macquarie Centre also takes around 30 mins.
We share the household cleaning duties, and our place is kept clean and tidy. As all our housemates are quite social and are out frequently, there may be nights where you will have the house to yourself to kick back, relax and enjoy a glass of wine/cup of tea. We have a cosy dining area and a spacious living room which both have TVs for your convenience. We also provide a fridge and a washing machine but if you like, you can also bring your own white goods.
