ABOUT THE ROOM: Bedroom will be completely empty. You will need to bring your own bedroom furniture and linen etc. Room comfortably fits queen bed, large wardrobe and additional furniture with plenty of walking space (approx 4m x 4m with 10ft ceilings). No built-ins or ceiling fan/air-con but windows are furnished with blinds and breezy. Room has one power outlet.
ABOUT THE HOUSE: House has lots of space and many rooms. Roomy front sunroom, 2 dining rooms; 1 formal dining room and another sunny breakfast room. Large lounge room with bay seat and windows. Side sleepout (used for some storage and craft) and smaller room as a dedicated office (or spare bedroom depending on what we need). Small balcony at front of house. Kitchen is older style but has a dishwasher, large fridge to share but no microwave as I don't use one. 1 bathroom to share, with bathtub and linen cupboard. Separate toilet. Laundry in garage. Garage is only 1 car bay for the house but some storage room will be available if needed. No air-conditioning or ceiling fans but house is breezy when windows are open however you may need your own heater for your room in winter as it can get a bit chilly.
RENT/BOND: Rent for room is $180 per week with electricity additional. Bond required of 2 weeks rent ($360). No need for your name on lease if that suits you. Rent/utilities can be paid to me each week/fortnight/month. Payment frequency/lease details all negotiable.
UTILITIES: Phone line is connected to the house but currently not active. Can have naked ADSL wireless internet connect if willing to share costs.
PARKING/TRANSPORT: On-street and off-street parking available. Walking distance to several bus stops including Langlands Busway at Stones Corner. Short drive to Buranda or Coorparoo train stations. Walking distance to East Leagues Club, Langlands Pool or Stones Corner shopping precinct. Easy access to South East Freeway, Ipswich Road and Logan Roads. Very close to two Coles and the new Greenslopes IGA.
ABOUT ME: 34yo female professional 8-5 worker who likes to chill out at home in spare time or spend time with friends/family on weekends. I live a simple, quiet, relaxed and uncomplicated lifestyle. At home I occupy my time with domesticated hobbies like sewing/crafts, occasional baking and sometimes gardening. I occasionally socialise out and about and or have a drink or two to unwind at home but I’m not an extroverted social butterfly. I have lived in this house for 7 years so have all I need and enjoy the location.
REQUIREMENTS: Interested in sharing with a mature minded, domestically responsible person (preferably female) who is reliable with rent and utilities and usual house chores. Prefer clean and tidy, easy going, fairly holistically inclined person who respects others property and privacy but also doesn’t keep totally to themselves. Prefer someone 25+yo who likes to chill out at home, and socialise away from home mostly (ie no parties or constant people over please). Must be pet friendly as I have 2 well behaved cats. Also prefer plant friendly and child friendly. I don’t have children however I am aunty with nephews/niece who enjoy to visit/sleepover on occasion – you will always have advanced notice of such occasions. Hopefully you wouldn’t be overly bothered by this (they are pretty good and fun kids).
