Our House
A renovated modern home located in a strategic central location. We are close to all major facilities in Geelong. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets. 2 Indoor Living rooms, a reading corner, Laundry and large modern kitchen. We have a backyard and 2 outside courtyards to relax in. There is on-street parking out the front of the house.
The Room
We have 1 large bedroom available for rent. The Dimensions are 3.5 x 4metres with 3m high ceilings. The room is fully furnished, complete with comfortable single bed. There is a wardrobe and drawer for clothes, a dress mirror, a corner unit for books and other belongings, a study desk and chair & desk lamp. The room has one large window, and lockable door. The location of the room is at the front section of the house to allow for adequate privacy. In the front section of the house there is 1 other bedroom, a bathroom and toilet, living room and reading room. All bedrooms have double plaster for sound proofing.

Full Gas Central Heating throughout the house.
Laundry has washing machine, dryer and clothes line in the backyard.
Kitchen – Good quality Gas stove, Oven & refrigerator. All cooking and eating utensils provided. Microwave and plenty of pantry space.

The address is 19 Foster Street, South Geelong. You can see our house on Google maps here. We are in a very strategic central location, close to all key areas of interest in Geelong. Here are some of the things close to us:
• South Geelong Train Station (which goes to Melbourne) – 200metres/ 2 minute walk
• Public Bus (to Deakin University/ Torquay etc) – 100m/ 1 minute walk
• Swimming Pool – 200 metres/ 2 minutes walk.
• Stadium/ Netball courts/ Sports Ovals - 100m/ 1 minute walk
• CBD Shopping Centre – 750metres/ 8 minute walk
• Waterfront / Deakin Uni – 1000metres / 10minute walk.

Things to do
There is plenty to do in Geelong. The yacht club is nearby and races are Wednesday and Saturday. The CBD has a range of Restaurants, Bars and Night Clubs. If you like the water, there are swimming pools across the road or you can swim at Eastern Beach which is about a 15 minute walk. Surfing is an easy 15 minute drive to the Surf coast. During summer we spend every weekend kiteboarding, surfing, swimming or skateboarding, depending what the conditions are doing. There are also many bicycle tracks around Geelong, including one that starts from Barwon River just down the road, and take you right out to Queenscliff (approximately 45Kms one way). If big cities are your thing, Melbourne is about 1 hour by train.
Public Transport
We are walking distance to all Shops so public transport is rarely necessary.
Bus - The bus runs down Moorabool Street which is 100 metres from our house. This bus will take you into the CBD, or out to Deakin University at Waurn Ponds. There are also many more busses available from the CBD which is a 10 minute walk.
Train – The South Geelong Train Station is 200 metres from our house. This train takes you into Melbourne (45-60 minutes journey depending if it’s express)
Rental
The room is AUD$150 per week/ paid monthly for Half-Board. Half-Board includes utilities, gas, electricity, water, and use of common areas (kitchen / laundry etc), however you are responsible for your own food, cooking & cleaning. Bond is 1 month rent.
About us.
We are a young and pretty fun family. There is me (Noah), I work in IT. My office is in Melbourne, but I often work from home and also travel overseas. Santhi is my lovely wife. She is busy looking after our kids (Oska & Kiyomi). Oska is 5 years old, loves to skateboard and is at kindergarten, and Kiyomi is 2 years old, and is learning how talk and throw tantrums. On the weekends and on holidays we spend a lot of time at the beach and are heavily involved in kiteboarding, surfing, skateboarding. We also go on regular camping trips to relax away from home. Our house mate who has been with us for 12 months is due to return to Taiwan at the end of October, so we are looking for someone else to share our home with.
