I have a home in the Brisbane Western Suburbs (Middle Park). I am a Senior IT Support Consultant and work in the Brisbane City. There are bus or bus/train services to Brisbane CITY. (I use these services daily. 20 minutes, Darra to CBD peak hour train service is 15 minutes)
My home is very comfortable, with heaps of space, 2 bathrooms, and one with a spa bath. There is 4 bedrooms, a study/computer room, large kitchen, 12 seater dining table and sunken lounge and large upstairs TV/lounge room. I have a covered pagola bbq area and balconies.
I have 3 fully furnished bedrooms available for rental, all upstairs. Obviously there are heaps of options, like a professional couple only at a higher price for more privacy. Maximum of 4 people.
1. The large master bedroom (4*4.5sq m) with a 2.4*2.8m walk-in wardrobe, with overhead fan and air-conditioning and door onto balcony. at $800(Single)-$1000(Couple)per month.
2. 3*3m bedroom plus a built-in wardrobe, window onto front east facing balcony, with overhead fan. at $600per month. (Not Available - Rented by Professional)
3. 3*3m bedroom plus a built-in wardrobe, has northerly facing window and balcony facing west, with an overhead fan. at $550per month. ($125pw)
Note: Computer access is included, provided you don't exceed 10Gb downloads pm in prime time and 10gb in off peak times per month.
Normally the house get a breeze, so rarely have I had to use the aircon, except for very hot, still summer days. Air conditioning is throughout the major spacious living areas. (7*5 m rooms)
The Centenary suburbs have most amenities you could think of. Middle Park shopping centre with Coles and restaurants/coffee shops, fruit shop, bank, etc which is 5 minutes walk from home. The 2 bus stops are about 3 to 4 minutes walk away. (one to Darra Rail station and the other to Brisbane city) There are several churches close by, 3 hotels, boat ramp, heaps of bicycle tracks, tennis courts, very large floodlit oval 3 to 4 minutes walk away, 2 golf courses, a 18 hole golf course 2-3 minutes walk away. Then there is Mt Ommaney Shopping centre (Coles, Woolies, Big W, ALDI, Kmart, Target and hundreds of other shops and banks, which is 5 minutes away by bus or 15-20 minutes walk or 10 minutes by bicycle away.
My home is away from the main road and the street is very quiet and great caring neighbours. There are heaps of primary schools, public and private, and a High school in the area.
My home has always been a smoking free zone, inside and outside the home. My home is a pet free zone, except for my 3 goldfish in the pergola. I love my job but am not married to it, I enjoy my recreational time and very active (fishing, bee-keeping, trekking/hiking, body surfing, scuba diving, etc.) I am lay back, enjoy a wine with meals.
