Hi, my name is Warwick; I’m the owner of the house in Whitfield. I work full-time away in the mines for 3 weeks at a time, home only for one week. I’m seeking International sharemates who are clean, tidy & considerate. I have two rooms available – one is with a Queen Size Double Bed - $130 dollars a week; and the other larger room is with two Single Beds - for $70 a bed (if there are two of you for one room – or you are happy to share with someone else), or if you just want that larger room by yourself it’s $120 a week;
Those prices include all electricity, access to two bicycles I have available (with combination locks, helmets and lights), and the internet. I have a wireless connection if you have your own PC or I have a share PC set-up, available for access to the Internet (provided you don't go crazy downloading).
You would benefit from my local knowledge and if you enjoy the outdoors you would also have the opportunity to see and learn about the Cairns area and go camping or kayaking. I run outdoor activities regularly and have a Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation (Sea Kayaking Instructor, Bushwalking Guide, Navigation Instructor, First Aid Teacher, 4 Wheel-Drive Trainer, and Survival Guide). I love the outdoors and I don’t mind helping you to organise your own trips, so you’ll be better prepared, safe, see better locations and save money.
You are welcome to have visitors over or entertain friends, but I do ask that you consider that I have to work or exercise early during the week. On weekends you’re welcome to entertain guests until later times, provided you respect the neighbours. So if you’re interested - you’ll get more than just a room, you’ll get an Aussie experience, in a nice area that is more secure and peaceful than the city. It’s only 7km from the city. The previous girls staying at my house were able to ride their bikes to work in the city in about 20mins.

"Warwick's house is in a lovely part of Cairns and is just a 25min cycle from the lagoon, don't let a 25 min ride put you off living there though...Warwick had bikes available to use and my ass and thighs thanked me for it. The house has all the amenities: free laundry,free Internet, top of the range cooking facilities and two showers. The best part of the house though is Warwick himself...I haven't met another Aussie that knows more about the Land Down Under or who has seen more of it. We went on some brilliant camping trips with Warwick while we stayed with him and they have been the highlight of my year travelling. He's high energy, great fun, a pleasure to live with and now counts as a friend. Enjoy your stay!"

Wenn du ein Zimmer in einem Haus mit netter Gesellschaft suchst, wo auch mal gerne am Wochende in einer lustigen Runde ein paar Bierchen getrunken werden und nicht wie ein Backpacker im Hostel wohnen willst, ist dies genau das richtige für dich.
Warwick ist ein lustiger, hilfsbereiter und spontaner Mensch. Er kocht gerne und man muß ihn manchmal aus der Küche vertreiben wenn man selber auch mal was für ihn kochen möchte. Er fährt gerne campen und das auf abendteuerliche Weise, dass heißt du lernst wie es ist im Busch zu campen. Wenn die Zeit es hergibt unternimmt er auch ganz viele Tagestrips. Sein Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Wohngegend und die City kann man locker in 30 min. mit dem Fahrrad erreichen. Das Haus wird die ganze Zeit von dem wohl besterzogenden Hund "Puppy" bewacht. Sie ist ein zauberhafter Mitbewohner und liebt es mit dir zu spielen und einen Spaziergang zu machen.
Du wirst eine tolle Zeit in Cairns haben und wenn ich könnte würde ich sofort wieder zurück fliegen.

C'est quelqu'un avec qui l'on peut discuter facilement, il est très chaleureux, il aime prendre un bon petit verre de vin sur la terrasse ou encore inviter des amis à diner. En restant à ses côtés vous en apprendrez beaucoup sur l'australie et vous améliorerez votre anglais ! En même temps vous aurez toute l'indépendance que vous voudrez et vous serez libre de faire ce que vous voulez dans la maison. Le quartier est très calme, agréable et sûr. It's someone with you can talk easily, he is very friendly, he likes having a good glass of wine on the deck or invite friends for diner.
